Pork-barrel

Halloween Special

I know I'm way behind on this. Halloween was yesterday. But I thought I'd post some Halloween stuff anyway.

This is one of the really early Walt Disney cartoons, from 1929.

The Addams Family, of course. Of course.

You could maybe say this was the first Simpsons Halloween Special. It was on the Tracey Ullman Show in 1989, which produced the first Simpsons episodes before it was its own show.

The late great Bobby "Boris" Pickett died in 2007. He co-wrote the ultimate Halloween song, "Monster Mash." This is a video of his last live show, which he wasn't supposed to play because he was very ill at the time, but he did anyway. What a trooper.

Of all the people to cover "Monster Mash," no one comes close to being as kick-ass as the Misfits.

Pyrite Radio

This is mostly No Wave and stuff that generally rejects the traditions of R&B.
